VinFast, a prominent Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently launched two new electric motorcycles, the Kyo and Kinet, during an event held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 20. The Kyo is priced at 30 million VND for the battery rental option and 35.3 million VND for the model with a battery included. Meanwhile, the Kinet is available for 40 million VND with a rental battery and 49.9 million VND with a battery included.
The Kyo features a sleek and neutral design, primarily targeting female customers. It is designed with a focus on urban commuting, offering a maximum speed of 64 km/h and a range of 160 km on a single charge. The motorcycle is equipped with a TFT speedometer, smart key, front disc brakes, and drum brakes at the rear. Its spacious under-seat storage can hold a half helmet and other small items, boasting a capacity of 21 liters, which is larger than that of Honda's Vision model.
In contrast, the Kinet sports a more angular and sporty design, appealing to male riders who enjoy a thrilling driving experience. With a maximum power output of 5,200 W, the Kinet can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in under six seconds, reaching a top speed of 90 km/h. It also features a 22-liter storage compartment and offers a range of 145 km with its dual 1.5 kWh batteries.
Both models incorporate a battery swapping system, allowing users to either rent or purchase batteries based on their needs. The Kyo and Kinet enhance VinFast's lineup of electric motorcycles, providing consumers with more options tailored to their preferences and riding styles.
