FIFA Removes Trump from World Cup Champions Photo
FIFA has edited out former President Donald Trump from a celebratory photo of the 2026 World Cup champions,

During the trophy presentation for the FIFA World Cup, FIFA President Gianni Infantino urged former President Donald Trump to step aside to allow the Spanish national team to celebrate their victory. Spain triumphed over Argentina with a score of 1-0 after extra time on July 19.
As Infantino stepped down from the podium, Spanish captain Rodri suggested that Trump move aside for the team photo. However, Trump shifted to the left but remained close to the players. Infantino quickly returned to Trump, trying to signal him to leave the stage, but Trump continued to clap while standing next to the celebrating Spanish players.
While the Spanish coach and players celebrated on the podium, they appeared unaware of Trump's presence beside them. Eventually, Trump was invited down from the stage for a group photo with the team. This was not Trump's first time in such a situation; he had previously remained on stage during Chelsea's FIFA Club World Cup celebration last year.
Social media users expressed their discontent with Trump's actions, with one commenting, "Trump refused to leave as the players prepared to lift the trophy. Infantino tried his best to invite him elsewhere, which was quite amusing." Another user noted, "It's no surprise that Trump didn't want to leave the stage." Videos of the incident circulated, with comments highlighting Trump's desire to be at the center of attention.
Prior to the ceremony, Trump and Infantino watched the match from a bulletproof VIP area, accompanied by U.S. officials and other guests. During the award ceremony, Trump personally handed medals to referees and players.
