Representative Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., was cut off from drinking at a December fundraising event led by former President Donald Trump, according to CNN.

Boebert, who faces a tough reelection battle after redistricting and criticism for vaping and heckling at a Denver theater, was told by a server that "they would no longer be serving her alcohol," multiple witnesses told the outlet. One witness said the server told Boebert they believed she had been "over-served," according to the report. 

"She was also trying to take pictures with Donald Trump and eventually Donald Trump's security detail stepped in and asked her to stop doing that, according to those witnesses that I spoke to," CNN reporter Melanie Zanaon said on Friday.

"So just to be clear, essentially: She showed up to a fundraising event in New York with Donald Trump, gotten drunk to the point where they had to cut her off?" Host Kasie Hunt asked. "And then repeatedly tried to take photos with Trump, and then they had to say to her, 'Hey, miss, dial it back,' according to witnesses?"

"That's basically how it played out, and I wanted to remind viewers here that this happened months after she had gotten into trouble and had to apologize for her behavior at a Denver theater where she was watching a musical performance, a Beetlejuice musical performance, and she was kicked out for vaping and being disruptive, and there was security footage of it," Zanaon said.

"There was more than just vaping," Hunt quipped.
