Vingroup's 350-Hectare Urban Area Near Noi Bai Airport Advances

The proposed 350-hectare urban area called Bac Hong, located near Noi Bai Airport, has reached an important milestone with the recent approval of its detailed planning by the Hanoi People's Committee. The project is designed to be a modern and smart urban area that integrates essential airport services and aims to boost the urbanization process in the northern part of the capital.

The detailed planning, which follows a 1/500 scale, outlines the project’s layout across the Bac Hong area, which includes parts of the communes of Noi Bai, Quang Minh, and Phuc Thinh. The area is strategically positioned, bordered by planned roadways to the north and west, with the Southern boundary adjacent to Ring Road 3 and existing residential communities to the east.

Vingroup, the developer behind the project, envisions Bac Hong as a new urban center that will leverage the connectivity provided by the future national railway line linking Lao Cai, Hanoi, and Hai Phong, as well as the upcoming Bac Hong station. The urban area is planned to include four residential units (E1, E2, X1, X3) and a green space unit (X2), with a focus on sustainable development.

Approximately 25.1% of the total area will be allocated for residential purposes, with plans for low-rise housing, including around 774,135 square meters for townhouses and over 103,152 square meters for villas. Additionally, the project will feature public green spaces, transportation infrastructure, and urban service facilities, ensuring a balanced urban ecosystem.

The Hanoi People's Committee has tasked the Department of Planning and Architecture with verifying and storing the detailed planning documents, while also coordinating with local authorities to ensure public access to the project details. Vingroup is expected to refine and supplement the planning documents based on feedback from the authorities before moving forward with the project implementation.
