Will billionaire Vuong's VinFast be one of the three largest electric car companies in the world?

With a valuation of 23 billion USD after the combination with Black Spade, VinFast will be the world's third largest electric car manufacturer in terms of market capitalization, behind only Tesla and Li Auto.

On May 12, news from VinFast announced that this company and Black Spade announced a business merging agreement. After the transaction, VinFast has a valuation of more than 23 billion USD and continues the plan to list on the US stock exchange.

With the above valuation, VinFast will be the world's third largest electric car manufacturer in terms of market capitalization, behind only Tesla of the US (market capitalization of 532 billion USD) and Li Auto of China (capitalization of  29 billion USD).In the world today, there are only 10 enterprises producing and selling electric cars with a market capitalization of over 1 billion USD.

Last month, Vingroup, VinFast and Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong signed a commitment agreement. Accordingly, within the next year, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong will donate 1 billion USD to VinFast from his personal assets. Vingroup sponsored 500 million USD and gave VinFast a 1 billion USD loan with a maximum term of 5 years.

1879 VF 8 electric cars were transported to Benicia port, California, US  in 13/5


Following the above developments, VinFast announced that 1,879 VF 8 electric cars of this car company have docked at Benicia, California (USA), the second batch of cars exported to the international market. 1,098 vehicles will be delivered to US customers. The remaining 781 vehicles will continue to be shipped to Canada and are expected to arrive at the port in mid-May.

Currently, VinFast has completed the procedures to sell VF 8 in the US as well as passed the tests according to NHTSA regulations (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).
