Foreign Investors Sell Off Nearly 800 Billion VND in Stocks
On July 27, foreign investors sold off nearly 800 billion VND in stocks, significantly impacting the market.

On October 8, the stock market experienced a mixed session, with the VN-Index closing down by 14.42 points, or 0.82%, at 1,738.97 points. The trading volume showed a decline in liquidity, with foreign investors selling off approximately 415 billion VND worth of shares across the market. However, proprietary trading firms made notable net purchases, totaling 13 billion VND on the HoSE.
Among the stocks that attracted significant buying interest was VPB, which saw a net purchase value of 107 billion VND. Following closely was TCB with 96 billion VND in net purchases. Other stocks that received attention included FUEVFVND (73 billion VND), PVT (40 billion VND), MWG (37 billion VND), and FRT (27 billion VND).
In contrast, proprietary trading firms recorded the largest net sales in MBB, with a value of 57 billion VND. Other stocks that faced selling pressure included HPG (-56 billion VND), MCH and VIC, both at -35 billion VND, and VIX at -24 billion VND. This trend highlights the ongoing volatility in the Vietnamese stock market, as investors navigate through fluctuating stock prices and external market pressures.
