YouTuber Nguyễn Mạnh Hưng Arrested for Assault in India

Nguyễn Mạnh Hưng, a YouTuber popularly known as 'Thiên Báo SBC Biên Hòa', was arrested on July 4 by the police in Đồng Nai, Vietnam, for his involvement in a violent incident that occurred in India. The police reported that Hưng used a knife to attack Nguyễn Quý Dậu, another YouTuber, during a conflict that arose while both were part of a group led by Lê Anh Tú, also known as 'Thích Minh Tuệ'.

The altercation took place on June 11, 2025, in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India, where two groups of YouTubers had gathered. Following the attack, Nguyễn Quý Dậu was severely injured and required emergency medical treatment in India before being repatriated to Vietnam for further care at the Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic Trauma Hospital.

Authorities in Đồng Nai have initiated legal proceedings against Hưng, who was born in 1980 and resides in Long Bình Ward, Đồng Nai City. The police have formally charged him with intentionally causing injury, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Prior to this incident, Hưng was active on social media, utilizing platforms like YouTube and Facebook to discuss various sensitive societal issues, including the activities of Lê Anh Tú during his travels abroad. The case has drawn significant attention, highlighting the potential consequences of conflicts among social media influencers.
