Suspect Identified in Deadly Shooting in Dak Lak

Authorities in Dak Lak are seeking public assistance in locating a male suspect involved in a shooting incident that left one person dead on July 2. The suspect, described as being between 1.64 meters and 1.7 meters tall, was initially seen wearing a long-sleeved green Grab uniform and blue jeans, along with a green helmet and sandals.

On the night of the incident, the suspect approached 47-year-old Hứa Hồng Hải while he was sitting outside a café on Trần Nhật Duật Street in Buôn Ma Thuột. Without warning, the suspect drew a firearm and fired five shots at Hải, targeting his head. The type of firearm used remains unknown.

Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on a red-and-white Honda Air Blade motorcycle, whose license plate has not yet been identified. In an effort to evade capture, he changed from his green Grab uniform to a gray-white jacket.

The Dak Lak Provincial Police have urged the community to report any suspicious individuals or information that could assist in the investigation. They have also warned that anyone found to be harboring the suspect or obstructing the investigation will face legal consequences.

The police are actively pursuing leads and have released the suspect's description to encourage public vigilance.
