12-Year-Old Girl Murdered and Disposed of in Well

On June 21, police in Dak Lak province reported a disturbing case involving the murder of a 12-year-old girl. The girl had been reported missing by her family after she left home to attend school on an electric scooter but never returned.

Local police initiated a search and reviewed security camera footage from the area. The investigation revealed that the girl was last seen between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM riding her electric scooter with a 20-year-old man from a nearby village.

Upon further investigation, the police identified the man and invited him for questioning. Initially, he denied any involvement in the case. However, during the search efforts, authorities discovered the girl's body in a well located on the coffee plantation owned by the suspect's family.

According to the suspect's preliminary confession, he claimed that the girl owed him money and they had arranged to meet to discuss the matter. During their confrontation, he allegedly struck her multiple times on the head with a helmet, causing her to lose consciousness. In a panic, he then carried her to the well and disposed of her body.

After the incident, the suspect reportedly took the victim's electric scooter and pawned it for 8 million VND (approximately $340). The investigation is ongoing as authorities in Dak Lak work to clarify the details surrounding this tragic event.
