Man Killed After Threatening with a Knife at Neighbor's House

Authorities in Lai Chau province are investigating a homicide case involving a man who was killed after threatening another person with a knife. The incident occurred on June 26, 2026, in the village of Mo Si San, where a land dispute led to a violent confrontation.

According to police reports, Tẩn Chỉn Páo, born in 1983, approached the home of Tẩn Chỉn Tịnh, born in 1990, armed with a knife to resolve the ongoing dispute. Around 8 PM, Páo stood outside Tịnh's house, shouting threats while banging on the door with the knife.

When Tịnh opened the door, a physical altercation ensued. In the struggle, Tịnh used a metal tool to defend himself, injuring Páo. Following the confrontation, Páo fled the scene but was later found collapsed approximately 30 meters away from the house. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

In the aftermath, Tịnh voluntarily reported to the police, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. This tragic event highlights the dangers of unresolved disputes escalating into violence.
