Vietjet reported a profit of VND 168 billion in the first quarter

According to the business results report for the first quarter of 2023, Vietjet's air transportation revenue reached VND 12,880 billion. Profit after tax reached VND 168 billion, up 286% and 320%, respectively, over the same period in 2022. , ancillary activities reached VND 4,312 billion, contributing more than 33% of total revenue.

Regarding the consolidated business results, the company recorded revenue and profit after tax of VND 12,898 billion and VND 173 billion, respectively.
In the first three months of the year, Vietjet operated 31,300 flights, transporting nearly 5.4 million passengers, up 57% and 75%, respectively, compared to the first quarter of 2022. The airline's flights also achieved an average seat occupancy factor of 85%, and technical reliability reached 99.59%.
In the first quarter, the total volume of transported goods reached more than 14,800 tons, up 20% over the same period in 2022.

International passenger transport continues to be a bright spot, contributing nearly 45% of total passenger transport revenue, accounting for 30% of flights and passengers.As of March 31, Vietjet's total assets reached more than VND 69,200 billion. Vietjet has contributed taxes and fees directly and indirectly in the first quarter of 2023 of VND 1,053 billion.
According to Vietjet, the above results come from the business strategy launched by the company in line with the post-pandemic economic development. In the first quarter of 2023, the unit opened ten new routes, including four domestic and six international. The total number of current ways is increased to 105, with 55 domestic and 50 international.
At the beginning of this year, Vietjet increased many flights on routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with localities, meeting the needs of people to return to their hometowns. At the same time, the airline also increased flights to tourist destinations.

At the same time, Vietjet researches and invests in exploiting more potential routes, maintaining its position as one of the pioneer airlines in opening new avenues. The airline plans to increase its fleet to 87 aircraft, operate 139,513 flights, and transport 25.7 million passengers in 2023.
Not only providing aviation services, but Vietjet also aims to provide consumer services on an e-commerce platform, with a complete focus on technology programs, promoting digital business, and meeting customer needs.
