1. Kon So La communal house 

Kon So Lal communal house is located in Ha Tay commune, Chu Pah district in the Northeast region of Gia Lai, one of the places with the most unique indigenous culture. This is also a place where many traditional communal houses are still preserved, the most prominent one being the communal house in Kon So Lal village, one of the beautiful communal houses in the Central Highlands . This communal house is 320m2 wide, 20m high and is the largest communal house in the Central Highlands today.

The communal house in Kon So Lal village is now a new communal house built to replace the old one that burned down in 2015 because of thunder. This communal house absolutely does not use blisters, trusses, nails and the entire frame is tied with rattan, bamboo, and rattan ropes made entirely by hand. The roof is covered with pages with a thickness of up to 20cm, inside the roof are wooden and bamboo trees that are woven very carefully and firmly.

Still, with the old communal house architecture, the long roof like a scythe has created a unique architectural work. The highlight of the motif here is the coriander tree and the sun, this motif is decorated on both the roof and the wooden pillars of the stairs, which are symbols of special meaning in the culture of the Ba Na people.

2. Kon Klor communal house

As one of the most famous communal houses in the Central Highlands, Kon Klor is a very familiar check-in place for the traveling community when coming to Kon Tum. This communal house is located on Bac Kan street, Thang Loi ward, Kon Tum city, so it is very convenient for tourists to visit and check in. Especially near the communal house is a suspension bridge with the same name as the gentle Dakbla river and the famous Ba Na village, so visitors can combine sightseeing.

The current Kon Klor communal house is a new communal house built on the foundation of the old communal house that was burned in 2010, after the communal house of Kon So Lal village, Konklor is one of the beautiful communal houses in Central Highlands with an area biggest. 

The Kon Klor communal house is currently 17m2 long, 6m wide, and has a roof height of 22m2. This work is built in the style of a traditional communal house, very typical with a long roof, wooden stairs in the form of a stilt house with sharp patterns and motifs of the Ba Na ethnic people.

The material for making the house on stilts is also very typical with bamboo, wood, thatched leaves, cork… Most especially, the pillar of this communal house is made of rotating wood, a very precious wood. As an attractive destination in Kon Tum, every day, Kon Klor communal house still welcomes many visitors to visit and check-in, this is one of the most checked-in beautiful communal houses in the Central Highlands today.

3. Kon Jo Dri communal house

Referring to the beautiful communal houses in the Central Highlands , Kon Jo Dri is definitely a name not to be missed. Many followers say that Kon Jo Dri communal house has a unique architecture and a very poetic setting, but this place is not so famous, so many people have missed the opportunity to visit.

Kon Jo Dri communal house, also known as Kon Jo Dri, Kon Jo Ri is located in a small village of the Ba Na people in Dak Ro Wa commune, Kon Tum city. This communal house was built in 1977, at the time of its construction, it was the most prestigious communal house in the region. The building has a height of 16m2 and a width of 12m2. The thatched roof is up to 20cm thick, inside are large wooden columns that support the whole house.

The floor is made from smashed wooden and bamboo boards, the bamboo and wood panels are not closed and still leave gaps. Kon Jo Dri communal house is the pride of the people in the village not only because it is a meeting place, welcoming tourists to visit, but also because of its rare poetic beauty. cool, the scenery is very peaceful, making many people fascinated.
