Heavy Rainfall Expected in Da Nang and Central Vietnam

The national meteorological center has reported that from the evening of October 7 to the night of October 8, the region from Hue to Da Nang is expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Rainfall amounts are projected to range from 150mm to 300mm, with some areas potentially exceeding 500mm.

On October 7, the meteorological agency noted that locations such as Bach Ma (Hue) recorded 113.8mm, Tam Ky (Da Nang) received 109mm, and Binh Tri (Quang Ngai) saw 129.6mm of rain. The forecast indicates that the heavy rain will continue, particularly affecting the eastern part of Quang Ngai, where rainfall could reach between 100mm and 200mm, with isolated areas experiencing over 300mm.

From October 9, the intensity of the rain is expected to gradually decrease. However, from early morning on October 8 to October 9, the rain is predicted to shift northward, impacting areas from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri with moderate to heavy rainfall ranging from 50mm to 120mm, and isolated areas may see over 200mm.

For October 9, the forecast for the region from Thanh Hoa to Nghe An includes moderate rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall typically between 20mm and 40mm, and isolated areas may experience heavy rain exceeding 80mm. Additionally, the meteorological agency has indicated that the western part of Quang Ngai, as well as regions from Gia Lai to Lam Dong and the southern part of Vietnam, will see rain and scattered thunderstorms, with rainfall amounts generally between 20mm and 40mm, and some areas may exceed 80mm.

As for the weather forecast for October 8 across the country: Hanoi will see clear skies with no rain at night and sunny weather during the day. The lowest temperature will range from 22-24 degrees Celsius, while the highest will be between 30-32 degrees Celsius. The Northwest region will also experience clear skies, with temperatures dropping to 18-21 degrees Celsius at night and reaching 29-32 degrees Celsius during the day.

In the Central Coastal region, particularly in Da Nang and eastern Quang Ngai, heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected. The lowest temperatures will range from 22-25 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 26-29 degrees Celsius in the north and 30-33 degrees Celsius in the south.
