Actress Le Phuong Surprises Fans with New Look
Le Phuong has recently astonished fans with a dramatic transformation for her new role as Pharmacist Doan

Actress Lê Phương is set to return to the stage in the play 'Late Night Stage' as the character Giáng Hương. In preparation for this significant role, she took the time to visit the grave of the late artist Thanh Nga, a revered figure in the world of cải lương (Vietnamese traditional opera). This visit was not only a tribute but also a way for Lê Phương to seek inspiration and guidance for her portrayal.
In her preparation, Lê Phương dedicated several months to studying the original work and understanding the styles of past artists, particularly focusing on Thanh Nga's performances. She expressed her desire to capture the essence of the character, aiming to blend the sophistication and emotional depth that Giáng Hương embodies. "I want to find that spirit to bring into my performance," Lê Phương shared, emphasizing the importance of delivering the character’s nuances authentically.
As she rehearsed, Lê Phương faced the challenge of memorizing lines that are rich in literary and poetic elements, which added to her pressure. She worked diligently to ensure that her delivery remained true to the original text while making slight adjustments for clarity with the director's approval. This meticulous approach allowed her to create a Giáng Hương that honors the original spirit while also showcasing her unique interpretation.
Moreover, Lê Phương's collaboration with fellow actors Lương Thế Thành and Vân Trang helped alleviate some of the pressure she felt returning to the stage. She noted that having a supportive team made the experience less daunting, especially since she was not the only newcomer in the production. During the initial rehearsals, Lê Phương admitted to feeling nervous due to the limited time to delve deeply into the character's psychology.
To further enhance her performance, Lê Phương received guidance from renowned artists like NSƯT Thành Lộc and NSƯT Hữu Châu, who provided valuable insights on dialogue delivery, movement, and expressions. She acknowledged that the play 'Late Night Stage' is a collective effort, emphasizing that it is a product of teamwork.
Before officially accepting the role, Lê Phương sought permission from NSƯT Hữu Châu to visit Thanh Nga's grave, hoping for a smooth and successful performance. Her visit was a heartfelt gesture of respect, as she wanted to honor the legacy of the late artist. "As a junior artist, my first thought when taking on the role of Giáng Hương was to pay my respects to her, followed by my commitment to practice and improve," she reflected.
