A fire broke out at a motorcycle parts factory located in Trung Giã, a suburb of Hanoi, on the morning of October 5. The incident occurred around 7:45 AM at a facility measuring approximately 500 square meters in the Trại Nghè hamlet of Hợp Nhất village. The factory, which is situated on a plot of over 3,000 square meters surrounded by trees, was engulfed in flames due to the presence of plastic and foam materials inside, producing thick smoke visible from over a kilometer away.
The fire quickly spread to a nearby two-story house, located just 15 meters away from the factory. Fortunately, all workers and residents managed to evacuate in time, avoiding any injuries. Local authorities reported that approximately 200 individuals were mobilized to combat the blaze, including 30 firefighters, 60 police officers, and 100 local volunteers.
By around 10 AM, firefighters succeeded in extinguishing the fire. While there were no reported injuries, damage to property is currently being assessed. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit, as indicated by the factory owner. The exact cause is still under investigation.
