On September 24, Vietnam's sports team continued to shine at the Asian Games (ASIAD), bringing home a bronze medal in rowing and a silver in wushu. The rowing team, featuring athletes Pham Thi Ngoc Anh, Du Thi Bong, Le Thi Hien, and Ha Thi Vui, showcased their skills in the women’s four-person rowing event.

The day began with a strong performance from wushu athlete Dinh Van Tam, who secured Vietnam's first silver medal of the day in the men's 56 kg category. Despite facing tough competition from Chinese athlete Ou Jiaming, Tam remained determined to reach the podium.

In the rowing finals, the Vietnamese team competed in various categories, including lightweight women's single sculls and women's double sculls. The athletes showed remarkable endurance and skill, contributing to Vietnam's growing reputation in the sport.

In shooting, reigning champion Pham Quang Huy aimed to defend his title in the men's 10m air pistol event, while teammate Lai Cong Minh advanced to the finals, despite Huy's unexpected early exit.

Meanwhile, swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang was set to compete in the highly anticipated men's 800m freestyle final later in the day. As Vietnam's top swimmer, expectations were high for Hoang to deliver a strong performance.

The athletics team also entered the competition with hopes of success, particularly in the mixed 4x400m relay, featuring athletes Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Hang, Quach Thi Lan, and others. Additionally, Vietnam's track and field athletes were set to compete in the women's triple jump and women's 10,000m finals.

As the day unfolded, the Vietnamese delegation aimed to build on their medal tally, with significant hopes pinned on their performances across various sports.
