The Vietnam Social Insurance Agency has released the payment schedule for pensions and social insurance benefits for October 2026, ensuring timely and full disbursement for recipients across 34 provinces and cities.

Starting from September 28, 2026, individuals eligible for pension and social insurance benefits will be able to create accounts on the VNeID platform and link them to appropriate bank accounts for receiving funds. This initiative aims to streamline the payment process and enhance accessibility for beneficiaries.

Payment Schedule Details

According to the schedule, 21 provinces will initiate payments on the first working day of the month. These include Sơn La, Điện Biên, Lạng Sơn, Nghệ An, Quảng Ninh, Cao Bằng, Bắc Ninh, Hưng Yên, Ninh Bình, Phú Thọ, Tuyên Quang, Thừa Thiên Huế, Bình Định, Khánh Hòa, Lâm Đồng, Đắk Lắk, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Vĩnh Long, Cà Mau, and Kiên Giang.

Meanwhile, 13 provinces will start payments on the second working day of the month, including Hanoi, Lai Châu, Thanh Hóa, Thái Nguyên, Hải Phòng, Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Trị, Lào Cai, Quảng Ngãi, Đà Nẵng, Đồng Nai, Tây Ninh, and Đồng Tháp.

For instance, in Hanoi, pension payments are scheduled to commence on Thursday, October 1, 2026, while in Ho Chi Minh City, payments will begin on Friday, October 2, 2026.

Payment Methods

The payment methods for pensions and social insurance benefits are outlined as follows:

• Through Personal Accounts: Payments will be made through personal accounts at the local Social Insurance offices. Funds will be transferred by the 5th of each month.
• Fixed Payment Points: From October 2 to October 10, 2026, payments will be available for at least 6 hours daily at all designated payment points.
• Service Transaction Points: Starting from the 11th of the month, payments will continue at service transaction points until the 25th of the month.

It is important to note that if the payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, payments will be made on the next working day.

Additionally, the new regulation under Decree No. 320/2026/ND-CP, effective from September 28, 2026, introduces the social insurance benefit account on the VNeID platform. This allows users to integrate payment accounts, e-wallets, or mobile money accounts to receive social insurance payments.

This development marks the first time that social insurance benefit accounts will be available on the national identification application, facilitating easier access to funds for recipients.
