The pension and social insurance subsidy payment schedule for October has been announced, starting on the 1st and 2nd of the month. Recipients are encouraged to register for a social security account on the VNeID platform to facilitate the linking of their payment methods.

According to the Hanoi Social Insurance Agency, payments will be made through personal accounts on Friday, October 2. Additionally, the agency is collaborating with the postal service to organize direct payments for recipients at designated locations immediately after October 2.

In September, over 608,270 individuals in Hanoi received pensions, with a total expenditure exceeding 4.547 trillion VND. Notably, 99.64% of recipients, equivalent to 606,111 individuals, opted to receive their payments via ATM.

The distribution of pension payments for October will be conducted in two phases based on localities. The first group, consisting of 21 provinces and cities, will receive payments on the first working day, Thursday, October 1. This group includes Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Dien Bien, Son La, Nghe An, Hue, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Vinh Long, An Giang, and Ca Mau.

The second group, comprising 13 provinces and cities, will receive payments on the second working day, Friday, October 2. This group includes Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, and Dong Thap.

Recipients who have bank accounts are advised to monitor their account balances during the specified times. Those receiving cash payments should pay attention to the detailed schedule posted by their local postal service.

As of September 28, Decree 320/2026/ND-CP has officially taken effect, enhancing the mechanism for pension and social insurance subsidy payments through social security accounts integrated with VNeID. According to Article 9 of Decree 69/2024/ND-CP, amended by Clause 9 of Article 5 of Decree 320/2026/ND-CP, state agencies and political organizations are now permitted to disburse pensions and social insurance subsidies via transfers to social security accounts integrated on VNeID.

This integration allows recipients to link a payment account, e-wallet, or mobile money account to receive their pensions, subsidies, and other social security payments as stipulated in Article 3 of Decree 69/2024/ND-CP, supplemented by Clause 12 of Article 1 of Decree 320/2026/ND-CP. Therefore, starting from September 28, recipients can register their social security accounts on VNeID and link their payment methods.

For those who have not yet integrated their social security accounts on VNeID or do not have a power of attorney for alternative receipt, pension and subsidy payments will continue through traditional methods without interruption to their benefits.
