New Discoveries at Le Thi Rieng Cultural Park: Mass Grave Found

Recent excavations at Le Thi Rieng Cultural Park in Ho Chi Minh City have led to the discovery of a mass grave containing the remains of soldiers, along with several artifacts. This ongoing effort aims to recover and identify the remains of those who served in the war.

As of September 7, authorities have successfully recovered 592 sets of soldier remains. The initial findings include various items such as shoes and pieces of fabric, which may possibly be identified as traditional headscarves.

The excavation team is expanding the area of their search, carefully documenting evidence, locations, and artifacts to assist in the identification process of the fallen soldiers. This initiative is part of a broader effort to honor and remember those who lost their lives during the conflict.

As investigations continue, officials remain hopeful that additional remains may still be uncovered in the vicinity, providing further opportunities to bring closure to families of the deceased.
