On August 10, the Lam Dong Military Command announced the discovery of a wallet filled with photographs while excavating a soldier's grave as part of a campaign to identify the remains of soldiers. The wallet was found alongside two bottles of oil at grave number 33 in the B1 area of the Binh Thuan Martyrs Cemetery.

This excavation is part of a broader initiative known as the "500 Days and Nights" campaign aimed at locating and identifying the remains of soldiers. In this recent operation, 12 sets of remains were collected, all of which lacked prior identification.

During the excavation of grave number 38 in the same cemetery, authorities unearthed the wallet containing several time-worn photographs. Among them was an image of a young soldier wearing a helmet, as well as pictures of several young women and other faded images.

These artifacts were found alongside the remains and are being preserved to assist in the identification process. The Lam Dong Military Command has stated that, apart from the images and artifacts discovered at grave number 38, there is currently no additional information regarding the identity of the soldier.

The photographs and artifacts found are crucial for piecing together the soldier's identity and connecting with their relatives. The authorities plan to compare these findings with existing records to aid in the identification process.
