The temperature in Hanoi on September 10 is expected to reach a high of around 29-31 degrees Celsius, with nighttime lows dropping to 22-24 degrees Celsius. As the cold front persists, daytime temperatures will stabilize around 30-32 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures will hover between 23-25 degrees Celsius until approximately September 12. Following this period, temperatures are predicted to gradually rise.

From September 15 to 19, Hanoi may experience another round of rain and thunderstorms due to a tropical convergence zone associated with a tropical depression in the Central region. It is essential to monitor the situation closely to determine the timing, areas affected, and intensity of the rainfall.

The Northern Meteorological and Hydrological Station has indicated that Hanoi will still see some hot days with temperatures peaking at 35-36 degrees Celsius until the end of September. Towards the end of the month, another cold front is anticipated, which could bring rain and cooler weather.

This winter is expected to be warmer than average, with fewer cold days than in previous years. However, there is still a possibility of experiencing cold spells, particularly in January and the first half of February 2027. The average temperature during the main winter months (December 2026 to February 2027) is projected to be 1.0-1.5 degrees Celsius higher than the historical average.

Farmers and those involved in agriculture should prepare for potential cold weather, as damage can occur even in a milder winter. Between October and November 2026, approximately 4-6 cold fronts are expected to affect Hanoi, though not all will bring significant cold. Initial impacts may include thunderstorms, strong winds, and temperature drops.

From December 2026 onward, cold fronts are expected to become more frequent and intense, with around 10-13 cold fronts projected during the winter months. The first significant cold spell is likely to occur in early January 2027. In the meantime, residents should remain vigilant regarding thunderstorms and strong winds associated with the cold front, and check weather updates before outdoor activities.
