Vietnam is ready to share its development experiences with Myanmar, as highlighted during a meeting between Vietnamese leaders and Myanmar's President Min Aung Hlaing on September 5. The discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in various fields, including economic development, security, and cultural exchanges.

During the talks, Vietnamese General Secretary and President To Lam praised the efforts of the Myanmar government in promoting stability, reconciliation, dialogue, and economic development. He expressed Vietnam's willingness to assist Myanmar in achieving sustainable growth and improving the living standards of its citizens.

President Min Aung Hlaing underscored Myanmar's commitment to its traditional friendly relations with Vietnam and expressed a desire to enhance cooperation by learning from Vietnam's development experiences. Both leaders agreed to continue building political trust through high-level exchanges and cooperation in defense and security, which are seen as pillars of the bilateral relationship.

On economic cooperation, President Min Aung Hlaing assured that Myanmar would work to create a favorable environment for Vietnamese businesses to invest and operate sustainably in Myanmar. He encouraged Vietnamese enterprises to actively engage and expand collaboration with Myanmar businesses in sectors where Vietnam has strengths and Myanmar has needs.

The leaders also acknowledged the importance of cultural and educational cooperation and proposed enhancing cultural connections and exchanges among the people of both nations. To Lam reiterated Vietnam's readiness to share its development experiences, focusing on economic security, sustainable growth, and effective management of socio-economic policies.

Additionally, both leaders emphasized the significance of maintaining peace, stability, and security in the region, particularly in the South China Sea, and resolving disputes peacefully in accordance with international law.

On the same day, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man met with President Min Aung Hlaing to discuss the role of legislative bodies in the political systems of both countries. They agreed on the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations and contributing to regional and global stability.

President Min Aung Hlaing's official visit to Vietnam from September 4 to 6 marks his first trip to Vietnam since Myanmar's recent elections and the formation of a new government. The visit is expected to reinforce traditional friendship and enhance political trust between the two countries.
