The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued warnings about extreme heat in Northern Vietnam, particularly in Hanoi, where temperatures are expected to soar between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius. Some areas may even exceed 37 degrees Celsius. This heat wave is anticipated to intensify over the next few days, with only a slight easing expected by September 2.

In contrast, the Central region, from Quang Tri to Da Nang, is expected to experience heavy rainfall through the night of August 31, with rainfall amounts ranging between 15 to 35mm, and localized areas potentially receiving over 70mm. The heavy rain is forecasted to taper off by September 1, giving way to rising temperatures in the days that follow, with highs again reaching 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi, the weather forecast for September 1 indicates partly cloudy skies with possible afternoon and evening thunderstorms. The temperature is projected to range from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius at night, with daytime highs reaching 35 to 37 degrees Celsius. The forecast also warns of potential thunderstorms that could lead to strong winds, hail, and lightning.

For the Northwest region, similar conditions are expected with daytime highs of 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, while the Northeast region will also see temperatures in the same range. The Thanh Hoa to Hue area will experience cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms and temperatures ranging from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.

In the South, conditions will remain humid with scattered thunderstorms expected in the afternoons and evenings, and temperatures will range from 29 to 32 degrees Celsius. The forecast highlights the possibility of severe weather events, including strong winds and heavy downpours, particularly during thunderstorms.
