The Southern region of Vietnam is currently experiencing a decrease in rainfall, with rising temperatures expected throughout the day. The Southern Meteorological and Hydrological Station has reported that from August 24 to 25, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces will witness thunderstorms.

Weather forecasts indicate that the tropical convergence zone will extend through the Northern and Central Northern regions, linking to an approaching storm. The Southwest monsoon is expected to maintain a medium to strong intensity, while the subtropical high-pressure system from the north will gradually shift westward. Additionally, upper-level wind convergence over the Southern region is projected to strengthen.

In the next 3 to 10 days, the tropical convergence zone is anticipated to become more active, particularly around August 30-31. The Southwest monsoon will continue to exhibit medium to strong intensity, with the subtropical high-pressure system stabilizing after moving westward.

As a result, the Southern region is likely to experience less rainfall compared to previous days. Morning weather will be characterized by early sunshine, with increasing intensity around noon, leading to hot and humid conditions. Residents are advised to limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours and ensure adequate hydration to prevent heat-related illnesses.

However, this heat wave is not expected to last long. After 2 PM, developing cloud formations may lead to rain in several areas. Although the rain may not persist for long, it could be accompanied by thunderstorms, strong winds, lightning, and the risk of tornadoes. Residents should remain cautious when engaging in outdoor activities during this time.
