FPT Group has officially launched the construction of its educational complex in Dien Bien province, aiming to provide comprehensive education from primary to postgraduate levels. This initiative is expected to commence operations in the first quarter of 2028.
The FPT educational complex will be the first of its kind in the Northwest region of Vietnam, offering a wide range of training programs tailored to meet local and regional development needs. The complex is strategically designed to focus on key technology areas such as semiconductors, cybersecurity, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), alongside other advanced technological fields.
Located in Dien Bien Phu, the complex will cover an area of over 2.1 hectares, part of a total site of approximately 10.5 hectares, ensuring a density of more than 20%. Key facilities will include administrative buildings, lecture halls, dormitories, and supporting structures. The first phase of the complex is set to be operational by early 2028.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, Le Van Luong, Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that attracting large-scale educational projects with private sector involvement is crucial for enhancing local training opportunities and meeting regional development demands.
Additionally, FPT University plans to offer scholarships for students in semiconductor design, with 1,000 spots available for the 2024 academic year. This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize educational facilities in the border region of Dien Bien.
