On August 25, 2026, coffee prices in Vietnam experienced a notable increase, with the average price reaching 97,600 VND/kg, up by 1,000 VND/kg compared to the previous session. This upward trend is reflected across major coffee-growing regions, including Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, and Dak Nong.

In Dak Lak, the price of coffee was recorded at 97,500 VND/kg, while in Lam Dong, it was slightly lower at 97,000 VND/kg, marking the lowest in the surveyed areas. Gia Lai also saw prices at 97,500 VND/kg, and Dak Nong recorded the highest at 97,700 VND/kg. Despite this increase, prices remain below the previously noted range of 99,000-100,000 VND/kg.

Internationally, coffee prices surged in the latest trading session. According to Barchart, the December 2026 Arabica futures contract rose by 19 US cents per pound, a 5.89% increase, while the September 2026 Robusta futures contract gained 192 USD per ton, up 5.34%. The rise in global prices is attributed to a slow harvesting process in Brazil, with the Cooxupe cooperative reporting that only 81.1% of the coffee had been harvested by August 14, compared to 86.1% during the same period last year.

Domestically, Vietnam exported approximately 147,600 tons of coffee in July, valued at 639.5 million USD. For the first seven months of the year, coffee exports totaled around 1.2 million tons, a 10.8% increase in volume, although the revenue decreased by 11.2% to 5.45 billion USD. This decline in revenue is primarily due to a 19.9% drop in average export prices, which fell to 4,537 USD per ton.

Weather forecasts indicate that the Central Highlands will experience sunny days with scattered rain and thunderstorms in the evenings. The temperatures are expected to range from 21-30 degrees Celsius. Farmers are advised to monitor weather conditions closely to manage their crops and protect their harvests effectively.

Looking ahead, the pricing dynamics for domestic coffee will continue to be influenced by the performance of Robusta in London, Arabica in New York, the USD/VND exchange rate, inventory levels, and export demand.
