Gold Prices Surge by Up to 3 Million VND on July 4, 2026
On July 4, 2026, gold prices in Vietnam saw a significant increase, rising by up to 3 million VND per tael.

On July 4, 2026, coffee prices in Vietnam saw a significant increase of 1,000 VND per kilogram across all major production regions. The average price is now reported at 93,000 VND/kg, marking a notable rise from previous updates.
In Dak Lak, the price of coffee rose to 93,000 VND/kg, reflecting the same increase. Gia Lai also reported prices at 93,000 VND/kg, while Lam Dong recorded the lowest price in the surveyed areas at 92,600 VND/kg. The price in the old Dak Nong area reached 93,000 VND/kg, indicating a uniform increase across the board.
Currently, coffee prices in Vietnam fluctuate between 92,600 and 93,000 VND/kg, with a price gap of 400 VND/kg between the highest and lowest regions. This adjustment has brought the buying price back above the 92,000 VND/kg threshold after a period of volatility at the end of June.
Meanwhile, the global coffee market exhibited mixed trends. Robusta prices on the London market experienced a slight increase, while Arabica prices on the New York market dropped by nearly 3%. Specifically, the September 2026 Robusta contract rose by 12 USD/ton, equivalent to 0.32%, reaching 3,783 USD/ton.
In contrast, the September 2026 Arabica contract fell by 8.70 US cents/lb, or 2.81%, settling at 301.20 US cents/lb. This decline followed a period of significant gains, as investors took profits ahead of the upcoming holiday in the United States.
Weather conditions in Brazil, particularly heavy rainfall in Minas Gerais, the largest coffee-producing region, have raised concerns about coffee quality and harvesting difficulties. The rainfall recorded was 31.3 mm for the week ending June 28, which is nearly 20 times the historical average for this period.
As the market continues to monitor these developments, the effects of El Niño on future coffee production remain a key concern. The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has reported that El Niño is expected to strengthen during the Northern Hemisphere winter of 2026-2027, potentially impacting rainfall patterns in Brazil.
Despite the challenges, the domestic coffee market in Vietnam has responded positively to earlier trends in the international market, leading to the current price increases.
