Gold Prices Surge by Up to 3 Million VND on July 4, 2026

On the morning of July 4, 2026, gold prices in Vietnam experienced a notable rise, with increases of up to 3 million VND per tael. This trend was observed across various gold trading units, indicating a robust demand for gold in the domestic market.

As of 6:00 AM, the Phu Quy Gold and Jewelry Group listed the price of SJC gold at 148-151.4 million VND per tael for buying and selling, marking a rise of 3 million VND for buying and 2.9 million VND for selling. The difference between buying and selling prices stood at 3.4 million VND per tael.

Similarly, DOJI Jewelry Group reported SJC gold prices at 148.4-151.4 million VND per tael, also reflecting a 3 million VND increase in both buying and selling prices, with a spread of 3 million VND.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed SJC gold at 147.5-151 million VND per tael, with a 2.5 million VND increase for buying and a 3 million VND increase for selling, resulting in a spread of 3.5 million VND.

In terms of gold rings, Phu Quy Gold and Jewelry Group set the price at 148-151 million VND per tael, while DOJI's prices were consistent with SJC gold. Bao Tin Minh Chau also reported similar increases for gold rings, reflecting the overall upward trend.

On the global stage, as of 11:25 PM on July 3, the price of gold was around 4,164.8 USD per ounce, an increase of 52.1 USD. This global price rise is attributed to weaker-than-expected U.S. employment data, which has prompted a decline in the U.S. dollar and lower Treasury yields, providing support for gold prices.

Market analysts are optimistic about the future of gold prices, with a recent Kitco survey indicating that 69% of Wall Street experts expect prices to continue rising. However, they caution that the upward momentum is not guaranteed, as potential increases in U.S. Treasury yields or a more hawkish stance from the Federal Reserve could exert downward pressure on gold.

In summary, the gold market in Vietnam is experiencing a significant surge, driven by both domestic demand and global economic factors. Investors are closely watching these developments as they navigate the complexities of the current economic landscape.
