Hanoi Enhances Social Security Account Integration on VNeID
Hanoi is intensifying efforts to integrate social security benefit accounts into the VNeID application,

Starting September 28, 2023, Vietnamese citizens will have the option to receive their pensions and social allowances through the VNeID application. This initiative is part of a recent government decree designed to improve electronic identification and verification processes.
The new regulation, outlined in Decree 320, allows pensioners and beneficiaries to create a social security account on VNeID. This account can be linked to a payment account, e-wallet, or mobile money account to facilitate the receipt of funds. The integration must be done using a personal account that matches the electronic identity of the beneficiary.
According to the decree, government agencies and political organizations will disburse pensions and allowances directly to the social security accounts on VNeID. Individuals who have not yet created a social security account or who do not have a power of attorney can still receive their payments through other established methods.
To register for a social security account on VNeID, users must log in to their electronic identification account at level 2, navigate to the social security section, and enter their six-digit password. They will then select their bank, input personal information, and provide their account number before submitting the information. Confirmation of the registration will be sent to users via a notification on VNeID.
This development is expected to streamline the process of receiving pensions and allowances, making it more convenient for citizens across Vietnam.
