Le Quoc Nghi to Retire from BIDV Board of Directors

Le Quoc Nghi, a member of the Board of Directors (BOD) of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), has announced his retirement effective October 1, 2026. The decision comes as he reaches the retirement age, having been born in 1965.

Nghi joined BIDV in 2025 and was appointed as a BOD member on April 26, 2025. His previous roles included serving as the Head of the Internal Audit Department at the State Bank of Vietnam and as Deputy Head of the same department. His departure follows that of Phan Duc Tu, the former Chairman of BIDV, who also retired on July 1, 2026.

Currently, the BIDV Board of Directors consists of 11 members, including one independent member. The Chairman of the Board is Le Ngoc Lam, with other members including Hoang Viet Hung, Kim Sang Soo, Tran Xuan Hoang, Ngo Van Dung, Pham Quang Tung, Le Kim Hoa, Dang Van Tuyen, Quach Hung Hiep, Le Quoc Nghi, and Nguyen Van Thanh, the independent board member.

As BIDV continues to evolve, Nghi's retirement marks a significant change in the leadership structure of one of Vietnam's largest banks. The bank is known for its substantial contributions to the national economy and its commitment to providing quality financial services.
