Vingroup Unveils New Logo to Mark 33rd Anniversary

Vingroup, the conglomerate founded by billionaire Phạm Nhật Vượng, has unveiled a new logo to commemorate its 33rd anniversary. This redesign is not a complete overhaul, as familiar elements from the previous logo have been retained. The most significant change is the repositioning of the five yellow stars, which have been moved from the bottom to the top of the logo. The iconic yellow wing symbol, the red circular background, and the name "VINGROUP" remain unchanged, though their arrangement has been adjusted to fit the new overall design.

This change in branding comes at a time when Vingroup is shifting its operational focus. Originally known for its core businesses in real estate, tourism, and services, the conglomerate is increasingly expanding into technology, industrial sectors, and energy infrastructure. This includes ventures into electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and even space technology.

Prior to the logo announcement, Vingroup released its consolidated financial report for the second quarter of 2026, revealing a consolidated revenue of 222.3 trillion VND in the first half of the year, a 73% increase compared to the same period last year. The company's after-tax profit reached 20.375 trillion VND, marking a 4.5-fold increase from the previous year. For 2026, Vingroup aims for a consolidated revenue of 485 trillion VND and an after-tax profit of 35 trillion VND, having already achieved approximately 46% of its revenue target and 58% of its profit goal by mid-year.

In the technology sector, Vingroup's VinFast continues to lead the electric vehicle market in Vietnam, delivering 115,916 vehicles in the first half of 2026, a 72% increase year-on-year. The company claims that six of the ten best-selling models in the market during this period were from VinFast, including the Limo Green, VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF MPV 7. Globally, VinFast delivered 128,662 electric vehicles, a 78% increase compared to the same period last year, and operates 474 showrooms worldwide, primarily in Asian markets.

In the electric motorcycle segment, VinFast delivered nearly 429,175 units, a 3.7-fold increase from the previous year. In the commercial and service sector, Vinhomes reported a revenue of 134.2 trillion VND in the first half of the year, tripling its performance from the same period last year, largely due to significant transactions at its Vinhomes Green Paradise, Vinhomes Global Gate Hạ Long, and Vinhomes Saigon Park projects.

In tourism, Vingroup noted that international arrivals to Vietnam reached 12.3 million in the first half of the year, a 15% increase compared to the previous year, which improved occupancy rates at its Vinpearl hotels and resorts to 64%, an increase of nearly 11 percentage points year-on-year.

In infrastructure, the Vinhomes - VinSpeed consortium has been appointed as the general contractor for five metro lines in Hanoi, aiming for completion by 2030. In the energy sector, VinEnergo has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with SunAsia Energy to develop solar power projects in the Philippines, with a total capacity of 420 MWp, expected to be operational between 2027 and 2028.
