University Admission Scores for Teacher Training Programs in 2026
Several teacher training institutions in Vietnam have announced their admission scores for 2026. The scores

On August 11, 2026, nearly 230 universities in Vietnam officially announced their admission scores, marking a significant moment for students and parents alike. The results come after a tense period of anticipation, with many top-tier institutions in the fields of health, education, and law revealing their scores. Overall, there is a noticeable increase in admission scores for health and education programs compared to the previous year, while social science programs have experienced a sharp decline.
Among the notable trends, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities at Vietnam National University in Hanoi reported a substantial drop in the admission score for its Journalism program, which fell to 22 points, down from 28.2 points in 2025. This decline reflects a broader trend across social science disciplines, where many programs have seen significant reductions in their admission thresholds.
In contrast, the University of Education in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUE) reported that five of its programs achieved admission scores exceeding 29 points, with the highest being 29.83 points for the Chemistry Education program. This indicates a continued demand for teacher training programs, which remain highly competitive.
As of now, students are particularly focused on the admission scores from prestigious institutions like Hanoi Medical University and the Police Academy, which have yet to announce their results. The final deadline for all universities to release their admission scores is set for 5 PM on August 13, 2026.
This year’s admission process has highlighted the competitive nature of university entry in Vietnam, with students striving to meet the increasingly high standards set by top universities. The landscape of higher education in Vietnam continues to evolve, with fluctuating scores reflecting changing interests and demands in various fields.
