Hanoi Medical University Sets High Admission Scores for 2026

Hanoi Medical University (HMU) has revealed its admission scores for the 2026 academic year, with scores ranging from 17.75 to 28.5 out of a maximum of 30. The highest score of 28.5 is required for candidates applying to the Medical program, reflecting an increase of 0.37 points compared to the previous year.

The university announced the admission scores on August 11, 2023, based on two methods: the results of the high school graduation exam and the results from the Hanoi University of Education's competency assessment test (SPT). Following the Medical program, the Dentistry program has an admission score of 27.57, while the lowest score is for the Social Work program at 17.75.

The specific admission scores for various programs at Hanoi Medical University for 2026 are as follows:

  • Medical: 28.5
  • Medical training at Thanh Hoa branch: 26.25
  • Preventive Medicine: 20.25
  • Traditional Medicine: 24.7
  • Dentistry: 27.57
  • Nursing: 22.99 (15.24 for SPT)
  • Nursing training at Thanh Hoa branch: 19.2 (11.61 for SPT)
  • Midwifery: 21.8 (13.95 for SPT)
  • Nutrition: 20.5 (12.75 for SPT)
  • Prosthodontics: 22.85 (15.1 for SPT)
  • Medical Laboratory Technology: 24.17 (16.79 for SPT)
  • Medical Laboratory Technology training at Thanh Hoa branch: 19.35 (11.73 for SPT)
  • Medical Imaging Technology: 23.75 (16.25 for SPT)
  • Medical Imaging Technology training at Thanh Hoa branch: 19.2 (11.61 for SPT)
  • Rehabilitation Technology: 23.7 (16.2 for SPT)
  • Rehabilitation Technology training at Thanh Hoa branch: 19.95 (12.3 for SPT)
  • Ophthalmology: 23.1 (15.4 for SPT)
  • Public Health: 20.8 (14.76 for SPT)
  • Social Work: 17.75 (11.95 for SPT)

This year, Hanoi Medical University plans to enroll approximately 2,100 students through three admission methods: direct admission, based on high school graduation exam scores, and based on the SPT results. The SPT is applicable only for undergraduate programs such as Nursing, Midwifery, Rehabilitation Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Public Health, Psychology, and Social Work.

Additionally, the tuition fees for the 2026-2027 academic year are expected to range from 19.1 to 80 million VND, an increase of 2.2 to 17.8 million VND compared to last year.
