This year, many health science programs at universities across Vietnam have reported a significant increase in admission scores compared to the previous year. Notably, some fields have seen an increase of up to 3.76 points. At the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (UMP), admission scores range from 22.51 to 27.43 points. The score for Medicine remains unchanged at 27.43 points, while the score for Dentistry has increased by 0.2 points to 27.19 points. Other programs at the university have also seen increases, with Nursing experiencing the most substantial rise of 3.76 points, from 19 points last year to 22.76 points this year.

The Medical Imaging Technology program increased by 2.16 points, from 20.35 to 22.51 points, while the Medical Laboratory Technology program rose by 1.46 points, from 21.75 to 23.21 points. Pharmacy also saw an increase of 0.3 points, from 23.09 to 23.39 points. Similarly, at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, admission scores this year range from 19 to 25.8 points, showing a slight increase from the previous year. Both Medicine and Dentistry have the highest admission score of 25.8 points, with Medicine increasing by 0.25 points and Dentistry by 0.54 points.

Other notable increases include Traditional Medicine, which requires 23.23 points (up 2.13 points), and Pharmacy at 23.23 points (up 1.23 points). The Rehabilitation Technology program scored 22.85 points, increasing by 1.6 points, while the Medical Laboratory Technology program scored 22.50 points, rising by 1 point. Nursing and Public Health also saw slight increases, with scores ranging from 19 to 21.25 points. Nursing requires 21.25 points, Midwifery 21 points, Nutrition 20.35 points, and Public Health 19 points.

At Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the upward trend in admission scores is also evident across many programs. Medicine has the highest score at 26 points, up 0.83 points, while Dentistry requires 25.25 points, increasing by 0.85 points. Traditional Medicine requires 22.5 points, up 2.9 points, and Medical Laboratory Technology requires 20 points, increasing by 2.75 points. Nursing requires 19.1 points, up 2.1 points, while Medical Imaging Technology requires 20.75 points, up 1.75 points. Preventive Medicine, Midwifery, and Nutrition all require 18 points, increasing by 1 point, while Public Health remains at 17 points, unchanged from last year.

Conversely, the admission scores at the University of Public Health have seen slight decreases in several fields. The highest score for Social Work is 22.9 points, down 0.6 points, while Nutrition is at 22 points, down 0.1 points, and Public Health is at 20 points, down 0.5 points. However, two fields have seen significant increases: Rehabilitation Technology scored 22 points, up 1.75 points, and Medical Laboratory Technology scored 20.25 points, up 1.95 points. Private universities in the health science field have also reported increases of 1-2 points.

At Nguyen Tat Thanh University, using the high school graduation exam results for admission in 2026, Medicine and Dentistry both have the highest admission score of 22 points, increasing by 1.5 points from last year. Other health-related fields have scores ranging from 18 to 19 points, all up by 1 point compared to the previous year. Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy both have admission scores of 20 points, while Preventive Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology all require 18 points.

For admission based on the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Medicine has scores of 650 and 85 points, respectively, while Dentistry requires 600 and 75 points. Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy require 570 and 70 points, respectively, with Preventive Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology requiring 550 and 70 points.

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), based on the high school graduation exam results for 2026, admission scores for health-related fields have also increased. Medicine has the highest score of 22 points, marking its first year of recruitment. Other fields have increased by 1 point compared to last year, with Pharmacy at 20 points and Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology both at 18 points.

Overall, many universities offering health science programs have seen a trend of rising admission scores this year, particularly in fields such as Nursing, Traditional Medicine, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology.
