USAID BUILD-IT forum explores impact of women in STEM fields

The fifth forum in the six-part Playbook forum series brought together experts in academia, industry and Government representatives to pinpoint the success and challenges in leveraging a digital environment in higher education.
The forum also explored how to maximize multiple modalities available to universities to best support students in an ever-increasing digital world.
Through digital pedagogy, BUILD-IT university partners can access proven best practices, methodologies and approaches for teaching and learning in a digital environment.
The highlight of the forum was a workshop where participating universities shared their success in applying digital immersion to learning and teaching operations.
The Digital Immersion forum also celebrated dedicated and visionary educators from BUILD-IT’s partner universities who strove to build something that will positively affect education in Vietnam.
For the past seven years, BUILD-IT has helped Vietnamese universities create professional development opportunities designed to better prepare them to be successful educators. Vietnam’s technological infrastructure has offered a solid foundation for promoting digital education.
BUILD-IT has gathered experts from local universities and Arizona State University to make progress in establishing long-term, sustainable transformation in the landscape of digital education.
The 2022 BUILD-IT forums celebrate key topics from the BUILD-IT playbook series, as prioritized by university partners. Topics in the playbook series include Institutional Accreditation, Project Based-Learning, Digital Immersion Learning, Program Accreditation, Industry Advisory Boards, Women in STEM, Maker Innovation Network and Faculty Development and Active Learning.
