Samsung Electronics has announced that its Galaxy Z8 Series has set a record for pre-orders in Southeast Asia and Oceania after its recent launch. The pre-order volume for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra has surged by nearly 60% compared to the previous generation, Galaxy Z Fold7. The company reported that nearly 6 out of 10 devices sold are the Galaxy Z Fold8, reflecting a strong consumer preference for the new design.

In Vietnam, within just six days of opening pre-orders for the eighth generation of foldable phones, the Galaxy Z8 Series recorded a pre-order volume 2.4 times higher than its predecessor, with the Galaxy Z Fold8 accounting for more than half of the total orders. This impressive result underscores the popularity of the new design among consumers.

Color preferences in Southeast Asia and Oceania show that Graphite Black and Lavender Purple are the most favored choices, while Shadow Purple and Graphite Black are popular for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. For the Galaxy Z Flip8, Rosé Pink and Graphite Black lead in popularity.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is optimized for content consumption, appealing to younger users with its 4:3 aspect ratio main display, enhancing the experience for watching videos, reading webtoons, gaming, and e-books. Weighing only 201 grams, it is the lightest Galaxy Z Fold ever made by Samsung. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra attracts users who prioritize work performance, featuring a large 8-inch main display that provides ample multitasking space, along with an upgraded camera system for sharper, more vibrant images.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is designed for users who value self-expression in a compact device. It is the thinnest Flip model Samsung has ever launched, featuring a redesigned FlexWindow that allows users to access apps, view information quickly, and perform actions directly on the external screen.

Additionally, the new foldable devices support Smart Switch for wireless data transfer via QR codes and Quick Share for convenient sharing between iOS and Galaxy devices. In Vietnam, from July 22 to August 17, users participating in the pre-order program can benefit from trade-in offers of up to 3 million VND or a 2 million VND discount voucher, with 0% interest installment plans available for up to 24 months. Early customers will also receive a screen protection upgrade for two years through Samsung Care+, which includes quick repair services for accidental damage, warranty extensions, and support from certified experts both domestically and internationally. Customers who purchase foldable devices from the website and register for the monthly Samsung Care+ plan will enjoy three months of free protection.
