The Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 are experiencing substantial price reductions as they near the end of their lifecycle, paving the way for the upcoming Galaxy Z8 series. Retailers across Vietnam have adjusted their prices, with the Galaxy Z Fold7 now priced at 39 million VND for the 256GB version. In smaller shops, customers can find it for as low as 37 million VND, marking a decrease of 10 million VND from its initial launch price.

Similarly, the Galaxy Z Flip7 has seen its price drop to 22 million VND for the standard version featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, which is 7 million VND less than its original price. According to representatives from Hoang Ha Mobile, sales of the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 have increased by approximately 20% compared to their predecessors, indicating a positive market response.

"The sales of the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 have shown slight growth compared to the previous generation and maintained strong demand throughout their lifecycle. Notably, the gap between tech enthusiasts and average users is narrowing, suggesting that foldable phones are no longer just for early adopters but are gradually appealing to a broader customer base," said Van Thi Ngoc Yen, Deputy Director of Product at Di Dong Viet.

Retailers have also noted that the supply of these foldable devices is dwindling, aligning with Samsung's product strategy in Vietnam. Similar to previous years, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 are expected to be phased out to make room for the new Galaxy Z8 series, which will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22.

Rumors suggest that the upcoming Galaxy Z8 series will include three models: Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is anticipated to feature a new design that is wider, thinner, and lighter, weighing in at 201g and measuring 4.5mm when opened. In contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is expected to have minimal changes from its predecessor, equipped with either an Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 6.9-inch main display, a 4.1-inch cover display, a 50MP main camera, and a 4,300mAh battery.
