Cần Thơ - Đà Lạt Flight Resumes After Nearly Six Years

Vietnam Airlines has announced the resumption of flights between Cần Thơ and Đà Lạt, effective August 19, 2026, after nearly six years of suspension. The route will be operated by VASCO, a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines Group, using ATR 72 aircraft. Initially, there will be one round trip daily, which will be adjusted to five round trips per week in September and October, scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Nguyễn Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, emphasized that both Cần Thơ and Đà Lạt are significant travel and tourism markets. The restoration of this direct flight will shorten travel time and strengthen connections between the Mekong Delta and the Central Highlands. He added that Vietnam Airlines will continue to assess market demand to maintain and develop appropriate domestic routes, thereby enhancing trade and tourism between regions.

In addition to the Cần Thơ - Đà Lạt route, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate seven daily round trips connecting Liên Khương Airport with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang using Airbus A321 aircraft. The Hanoi - Đà Lạt route will have two daily round trips, while the Ho Chi Minh City - Đà Lạt route will have four, and the Da Nang - Đà Lạt route will have one.

Liên Khương International Airport in Lâm Đồng is nearing completion of its renovation and is set to reopen for operations at midnight on August 19, after being closed for over five months. Recent test flights have been conducted to check the navigation systems, signal lights, and other related components on the newly upgraded runway.

Key projects in the runway repair at Liên Khương Airport are ready for reopening, ensuring that the airport can efficiently handle flights from the specified date.
