Vietnam Airlines resumes regular flights to China

HCMC – Vietnam Airlines has restarted its regular commercial flights to China since today, December 9, as the country began to ease its Covid-19 restrictions, according to the local media.

Its flight departing from HCMC to Guanzhou, China, at 9:55 a.m. this morning marked the resumption of services after nearly three years of suspension due to the pandemic.

Vietnam Airlines will resume flight services on three routes to China, including the HCMC-Guangzhou route with a weekly flight on Fridays from December 9; the Hanoi-Shanghai route with two flights per week on Mondays and Fridays from December 12; and the HCMC-Shanghai route with a flight departing every Wednesday from December 14.

After the resumption of its air services to China, Vietnam Airlines is now operating some 600 international flights per week or 70% of its pre-pandemic capacity.

All passengers should complete the PCR test within 48 hours before boarding, get a health code, wear N95 masks and abide by the quarantine and isolation regulations of the Chinese authorities.

Flight tickets to China are offered for sale from now until March 26, 2023. Passengers can buy tickets on the website, through mobile applications, and at Vietnam Airlines’ official agencies throughout the country.
