Tragic Fire in Hanoi Claims Two Lives
A fire in a row house in Hanoi has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left one person severely

A tragic incident unfolded in Dong Nai on July 21, when a sleeper bus caught fire, claiming the lives of seven passengers and injuring five others. The bus, which was traveling on National Highway 1, was driven by 41-year-old Trần Thanh Hải from Khánh Hòa. The collision occurred around 2:30 AM in the Hưng Thịnh area, approximately 30 kilometers from Biên Hòa.
According to local authorities, after the bus struck the roadside embankment, it continued to collide with another embankment before coming to a stop. Flames erupted from the undercarriage and quickly engulfed the entire vehicle. The driver managed to pull the bus over to the side of the road and urged passengers to escape. While some passengers at the front of the bus managed to escape, many others were trapped inside as the fire spread rapidly.
The intensity of the blaze made it impossible for bystanders to assist. Firefighting and rescue teams from Đồng Nai responded promptly, deploying two specialized vehicles and personnel to the scene. Approximately 30 minutes later, they managed to bring the fire under control. However, upon inspection, authorities discovered multiple bodies inside the charred remains of the bus, which had been completely destroyed, with shattered windows and the sleeping compartments severely warped and collapsed.
In addition to the fatalities, five individuals sustained injuries and were rushed to Thống Nhất General Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, one of the injured passengers was later discharged after receiving care for minor injuries. The local community is mourning the loss of life in this tragic event, which highlights the dangers associated with road travel.
