Bui Van Hai, the former Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, has been removed from all party positions following serious violations that have had significant consequences. This decision was reached during the third meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, held on July 20, 2026, in Hanoi.

Prior to the opening session, all delegates paid their respects at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The meeting was presided over by Party General Secretary and President To Lam, with Trần Thanh Mẫn, a member of the Politburo and Chairman of the National Assembly, leading the opening proceedings.

During the meeting, the Central Committee discussed personnel matters and considered disciplinary actions against party members with violations. The committee unanimously voted to impose disciplinary measures on Bui Van Hai, who previously served as a member of the Central Committee and held various leadership roles in Bac Giang Province.
