Beloved Wife of Artist Tạ Minh Tâm Passes Away

Bạch Vân, the wife of prominent artist Tạ Minh Tâm, has sadly passed away at the age of 64. Tạ Minh Tâm, a well-known singer and artist, shared the heartbreaking news on his personal page, describing her as his "beloved partner, devoted and loyal." She died on July 4 in Ho Chi Minh City following a period of illness.

The couple's daughter, Tạ Bạch Dương, expressed her sorrow, stating, "Mom lived a wonderful life. Now, may she smile as she returns to Buddha, free from pain. We will meet again later. Thank you so much, Mom." The funeral was held at their home in Tân Thuận, Ho Chi Minh City, from July 5 to July 9, after which Bạch Vân was laid to rest in her hometown in Phú Tân, Vĩnh Long.

Numerous colleagues and students from the arts community, including artist Việt Anh and singer Võ Hạ Trâm, extended their condolences to the family. Director Thanh Hiệp, head of the criticism and theory department of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, praised Bạch Vân's acting skills, noting her ability to portray characters authentically. He recalled her memorable performance as a girl caught in a storm, saved by youth volunteers in the play "Storm at Sea."

Bạch Vân was born in 1962 and began her career in the Kim Cương theater troupe, one of the most famous theater brands at the time. She often played supporting roles in various productions, including "The Abyss of Height," "Storm at Sea," and "The Late Lover." She met Tạ Minh Tâm during their university years when they lived in the same dormitory. Tạ Minh Tâm once expressed his fears of not being able to marry her due to her beauty and talent, which attracted many admirers.

In their early marriage, the couple often rode bicycles together, with Tạ Minh Tâm singing and Bạch Vân acting. Due to difficult circumstances, Bạch Vân chose to support her husband and care for their children, including their daughter Tạ Minh Anh, who was born in 1997 and shares a passion for music, studying Piano at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

Tạ Minh Tâm, born in 1960 in An Giang, is a celebrated singer in the chamber music genre and was honored with the title of People's Artist in 2019. He served as the Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music from 2014 to 2020 and has also worked as a host and judge in numerous music competitions, in addition to acting in films such as "White Blouse" (2002) and "The Journalism Profession" (2006).
