The Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Ninh Binh is gearing up for its official opening on July 10, 2026. The Minister of Health, Dao Hong Lan, has called on all relevant units to mobilize maximum manpower and complete all remaining procedures to ensure the hospital can begin operations as scheduled. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services for the local population and alleviate pressure on central hospitals.

During a recent meeting to review the project's progress, Hoang Cuong, Deputy Director of the Project Management Board for Health Facilities, reported that teams are focused on finalizing the last components of the project. Key tasks include completing cost estimates, adjusting design plans, and expediting payments for completed work.

Contractors are currently working to finalize the fire prevention systems according to both the original design and revised plans. They are also testing various technical systems to ensure everything is operational before the handover. The project management board anticipates that most tasks will be completed by July 5.

In terms of information technology infrastructure and operational equipment, teams are rapidly installing office systems, PACS screens, and other specialized technical devices. Once installation is complete, a comprehensive system test will be conducted to establish operational procedures before the hospital opens.

PGS.TS Duong Duc Hung, Director of the Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, has proposed several solutions to overcome challenges and has committed to mobilizing maximum manpower while enhancing supervision to ensure timely completion for the inauguration.

Minister Dao Hong Lan emphasized the importance of bringing the Ninh Binh facility into operation on schedule, highlighting its critical role in improving healthcare capacity and serving the local community. She praised the commitment and responsibility of all involved parties, noting that this is not only a deadline commitment but also a political commitment to the Prime Minister and the government.

To ensure timely completion, the Minister has instructed all units to maximize manpower, enhance collaboration, and focus on finalizing all tasks related to contracts from 1 to 5. Furthermore, all legal documents must be completed by July 7 to be submitted to the Project Management Board for Health Facilities.

Alongside construction acceleration, units must expedite the evaluation of legal documents and ensure all conditions are met for the facility's operational launch. For the Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, the Minister has requested that staff be dispatched to familiarize themselves with operational processes and conduct trial runs immediately after contractors complete industrial cleaning and hand over the facility.
