Youth Responsibility and National Development: A Call to Action

The recent address by General Secretary and President To Lam during the 13th National Youth Congress has become a source of pride and motivation for the youth of Vietnam. His remarks have resonated deeply, urging young people to transform their pride into concrete actions that contribute to the nation's development.

During the congress, Bui Tuan Ngoc, a representative of the Youth Committee of the Military, expressed his emotional response to the inspiring words of To Lam. He highlighted that today’s youth are not merely successors but are actively involved in creating the future of the country. This realization serves as both a source of pride and a strong reminder of the responsibilities that young individuals carry in this new developmental era.

Ngoc emphasized that contributing to the nation today is reflected not only on traditional fronts but also through positive cultural products, spreading ideals of patriotism and good values within the community, particularly among the younger generation. He believes that the faith bestowed by the Party on the youth is the greatest motivation for them to live more responsibly and courageously.

Huynh Tuan Khuong, a member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union at the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, echoed similar sentiments. He expressed his deep feelings of pride and responsibility after hearing the General Secretary's speech. Khuong noted that the youth must not only feel inspired but also engage actively in addressing the significant issues facing the country.

He stated, "The actions of each young person must reflect a clear transformation. It is not enough to just talk; we must act and create specific values for society. This is a crucial requirement in the current context." Khuong, working in an academic environment, recognizes the role of educated youth in the nation's push for innovation and digital transformation.

Tram Minh Thuan, Chairman of the Long Hiep Agricultural Cooperative in Vinh Long Province, also shared his thoughts on the expectations placed on the youth by the leadership. He emphasized the need for young people to actively participate in the national development process, particularly in agriculture and sustainable practices. Thuan is determined to lead in the digital transformation of agriculture in his hometown and contribute to the green startup movement.

In conclusion, the messages from To Lam serve as a clarion call for the youth to embrace their roles as active participants in Vietnam's development. They are encouraged to harness their energy, creativity, and commitment to build a prosperous future for themselves and their nation.
