Bùi Quang Huy Re-elected as First Secretary of the Central Youth Union

Bùi Quang Huy has been re-elected as the First Secretary of the Central Youth Union of Vietnam at the national congress held on June 25, 2023. This decision confirms his leadership for the term 2026-2031, showcasing the confidence the organization has in his capabilities.

The newly formed Central Executive Committee of the 13th term consists of five members. Alongside Bùi Quang Huy, Nguyễn Minh Triết has also been re-elected as the Permanent Secretary. The three other secretaries include Nguyễn Tường Lâm, Hồ Hồng Nguyên, and Nguyễn Kim Quy.

In his acceptance of the position, Bùi Quang Huy expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him, acknowledging the significant responsibility that comes with the role. He emphasized his commitment to leading the organization with integrity and dedication, promising to engage closely with the youth and address their concerns effectively.

Bùi Quang Huy, 49, hails from Nghệ An and holds a master's degree in law. He has previously served in various capacities, including as a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and as a representative in the National Assembly. His extensive experience includes roles at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and the Central Youth Union.

Since being elected as the First Secretary in August 2022, Bùi Quang Huy has been focused on advancing the youth movement and contributing to the nation's development goals. His leadership is expected to inspire further growth and engagement within the youth sector in Vietnam.
