Hanoi Class Achieves 100% Pass Rate for Specialized High School Entrance

A class at Archimedes Academy in Hanoi has made headlines by achieving a 100% pass rate for the entrance exam to specialized high schools. All 34 students from Class 9C1 successfully secured spots in the Mathematics and Informatics specialized classes, continuing the school's tradition of excellence.

This year’s entrance exam, held on May 30 and 31, saw around 124,000 candidates competing. The results, announced on June 19, revealed that Class 9C1 was the only class to achieve this remarkable feat. Many students received multiple acceptance letters from various prestigious institutions, with some receiving between three to seven offers.

Phạm Ngọc Mai, the class's homeroom teacher and Mathematics instructor, played a crucial role in guiding these students over the past four years. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a steady learning rhythm rather than merely focusing on solving difficult problems. His approach included building a long-term study plan and ensuring that students were mentally prepared for the challenges of the exams.

In addition to Mai, two other teachers, Nguyễn Lê Phước and Phạm Ngọc Đức, contributed significantly to the students' success. Phước inspired students through Geometry lessons, instilling perseverance and resilience, while Đức focused on maintaining discipline and supporting the students' emotional well-being.

The success of Class 9C1 is also attributed to the strong collaboration between parents and the school. Throughout the four years, families have actively participated in monitoring their children's academic progress and mental health, creating a supportive learning environment.

Ultimately, the achievement of 34 out of 34 students passing the specialized entrance exam reflects not only academic excellence but also the collective effort of teachers, students, and families. This journey has taught the students valuable lessons about striving for common goals and supporting one another through challenges, ensuring that no one is left behind.
