Raising animals in the heat of the day, lying on the fan, in the cold lying on the heater, “producing” billions of dollars every year

Leaving construction, Mr. Le returned to his hometown to raise “difficult” animals. It was hot to sleep, fan was cool, and when it was cold, he lay on a heater. Thanks to that, every year Mr. Le earns billions of dollars.

Quit the construction job and go back to the countryside to raise animals

This model of an effective guinea pig farm belongs to the family of Mr. Le Trong Le (58 years old, Van Son commune, Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province).

Before coming to animal husbandry, Mr. Le had many years of experience in construction, specializing in the construction of hydroelectric dams. Although the construction profession brings high economic value, the job has to work away from home, in 2007, Mr. Le decided to return to his hometown to work when he turned 50 years old.

Mr. Le Trong Le succeeded with the model of raising pink cheeks in Thailand.

After returning to his hometown, he loved livestock, so Mr. Le came up with the idea of doing a farm business. After a period of research, he decided to choose a bat to invest.

“I went everywhere to find what animals to raise with high economic efficiency. At that time, the goat was a very expensive product and suitable for the farming conditions in the countryside, so I decided to raise this animal. At that time. I heard that there are a lot of bats in Laos, so I went there to learn and buy 100 bats for testing,” Mr. Le shared.

The “fastidious” bats like to lie on the fan when it’s hot, and warm the lamp when it’s cold.

At first, Mr. Le built a barn with a scale of more than 100m2 in the garden next to the house to raise goats. The first crop he raised was successful beyond expectations, the bats raised on the farm grew and developed well. He bred herds to hundreds of animals.

It seemed that the initial success would mark a good sign for the old farmer. But by 2010, hundreds of bats on the farm fell ill and died, causing Mr. Le to lose more than 300 million VND.

“Because the barn did not ensure the temperature factors, the number of healthy animals died in a short time. It was a big failure for me”, Mr. Le said.

Most of the scattered deaths, Mrs. Le Thi Sam (Mr. Le’s wife) worried and intervened. However, considering the failure as “experience exposure”, Mr. Le wrapped his clothes and returned to Laos to learn from his experience. After learning and mastering the knowledge and techniques, he returned to his hometown to renovate the barn system and start over.

Up to now, Mr. Le’s model of animal husbandry has been successful. He currently has 4 breeding facilities in Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak and Thai Nguyen provinces, bringing in billions of dollars each year.

I eat little but “lay” billions every year

Out of the four goat farms, Mr. Le assigns his three sons to manage three farms, while he and his wife own a farm of nearly 500 square meters in their hometown of Thanh Hoa. Currently, the scale of this farm is about 2,000 both breed and meat, bringing in an income of more than 1 billion VND per year.($1=24,000 VND)

Thanks to fostering, every year Mr. Le earns more than 1 billion VND.

“My family’s farm distributes all over the country. Currently, I am providing seed and meat, selling prices range from 800,000 to 1 million dong/kg, while the price of broodstock is based on age, through usually 3 months old will be sold (the price of 3 months is 3 million VND/pair, 6 months is 6 million VND/pair…).Every year, after deducting all expenses, my wife and I earn more than 1 billion VND”. Farm owner shared.

Sharing about his experience of raising goats, Mr. Le said that the animals are “difficult”, the most important factors for the animals to grow well are the barn and temperature.PhatTurn on the sound

Raising children in the hot weather, lying on the fan, in the cold lying on the heating lamp, “brings” billions of dollars every year (Video: Thanh Tung).

“The barn is not too expensive, but must ensure ventilation factors, each cage is built of ceramic bricks. The most important thing is to ensure the temperature in the cage, usually the living animal is at a temperature of 27-30 degrees Celsius. To regulate the temperature, in the summer I install a fan, in the winter I install a heating system,” said Mr. Le.

To monitor the temperature, Mr. Le installed a measuring device at the barn.

According to Mr. Le, the bat is an animal that eats little. The main food is sugar cane, corn, and bamboo stalks. These are foods that are easy to find and readily available. Eat twice a day in the morning and afternoon, with a piece of sugar cane or bamboo each time, do not eat too full, nor too hungry. In particular, the dog is an animal that does not drink water, spawns twice a year, 4-5 children each time. The type of bat of his family is the Thai pink-cheeked bat, an adult weighing 4-5kg.

The main food for bats is sugarcane and bamboo stalks.

“Because of eating little, it is also very leisurely when raising bats. Only feed once a day. However, the rearing process must regularly monitor the temperature in the barn, if you do not pay attention to the temperature, it will only be within 1-2 days. Within hours, the herd will become ill,” Le revealed.

Mr. Le Minh Tien – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Van Son commune evaluated Mr. Le’s family’s model of fostering with high economic efficiency and novelty in the locality.

In winter, Mr. Le installed a heating system to regulate the temperature of the barn.

“Not only has high economic efficiency, but Mr. Le also associated with large-scale animal husbandry. The dog is quite a new animal for local people. This is also an animal that requires high technology, there are also some animals. Mr. Le’s model is the largest farm scale model in the commune, on the list of one of the good economic households in the locality”, Mr. Tien added
