At the beginning of the year, people and tourists from all over the world love to go to Cao Pagoda, Ha Linh commune, and Ha Trung district to check in on the glass bridge, and the giant Buddha hand.

Cao Pagoda is located on Ma Lim mountain, in Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province. This is an ancient temple built in the Le Dynasty. Over time, there are no old buildings left. The remaining relics of the pagoda are a stone tortoise stele, a stone altar, the foot of a rock, 5 stone incense bowls, old bricks and tiles. For many years, the temple has been associated with an important cultural and spiritual life for the people here. 

In 2020, Cao Pagoda was rebuilt. After three years of restoration, the temple is now relatively complete with some unique architectural features.  

On the top of the mountain, there are 4 Bodhisattva statues facing the 4 directions east – west – south – north. Next is a glass bridge tens of meters long, where a giant hand is placed in the middle. This is the first glass bridge to appear in Thanh Hoa province. Since the beginning of construction, the bridge at Cao Pagoda has attracted the attention of the community.

Currently, items such as the bodhisattva statue, glass bridge, and road to the temple are basically completed. According to records, in the early days of the Spring of the Rabbit of 2023, thousands of people and tourists from all over the world have flocked here for sightseeing and spring travel.

In particular, many people come to Cao Pagoda to enjoy “virtual life” by the glass bridge, the giant hand statue appeared for the first time in Thanh. 

From the Cao Pagoda, visitors seem to be immersed in the pure space, watching the majestic mountains to welcome the sunset every evening with the houses along the slopes of Ma Lim mountain.

Mr. Le Van Thai (63 years old, Yen Duong commune, Ha Trung district) shared: “Speaking of Cao pagoda, it used to be very sacred. This year, at the beginning of the new year, my family and I went to Cao pagoda to travel in spring. Cao Pagoda is now so beautiful and spacious. At the beginning of the year, the number of visitors to Cao Pagoda is very large, so my family has to come here very early.”

According to the leader of the People’s Committee of Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district, Cao pagoda has an area of ​​​​5 hectares, located on Ma Lim mountain. On the occasion of the 2023 Lunar New Year, Cao Pagoda welcomes more than 1,000 visitors from all over the world to visit spring and sightseeing every day.
