In recent days, many people in the West have told each other about a restaurant with a view of vast green rice fields, plastic tables and chairs are lined up along the empty land in the middle of the field. In the morning, diners sitting here eating and drinking can watch the sunrise, the early morning dew is the momentum on the rice surface. If you come in the afternoon, you can watch the sunset, watch the sunset behind the trees, the sky turns pale pink and spreads among the floating blue-white clouds.
The restaurant has a popular style, specializing in serving vegetarian dishes for 3 years now in Thoi Thuan ward, Thot Not District, Can Tho city. This place is about 1 km from Bang Lang Bridge and is located near the famous Bang Lang Stork Garden tourist attraction. The restaurant has been known to many people since the fourth Covid-19 epidemic through videos on social networks thanks to its different dining spaces.
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Binh, born in 1995, the shop owner shared that she was surprised and happy that the shop was supported and loved by many people. “Customers know our shop through videos on social networks because of the romantic sunset in the afternoon on the rice fields . There are friends from Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Lieu, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, An Giang… come to the shop to mingle. in a peaceful countryside setting, eating frugal vegetarian dishes”, shared Ms. Binh.
In the morning, the shop is open for sale from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with vegetarian vermicelli, the price of each bowl is 10,000 VND, the small bowl costs 5,000 VND. In the afternoon, the shop sells from 14:00 to 19:00, serving vegetarian dishes such as fried tofu, wonton, cong cake, spring rolls, priced at 10,000 – 30,000 VND/piece.
Binh said, at first, the shop only sold on the roadside, but more and more customers came to support, so there were not enough seats. Ms. Binh’s family decided to take the land to grow vegetables next to the rice field to be renovated as a dining place for guests to make the space larger and more comfortable. The ground is covered with planks, zigzag tables and chairs so that you can sit in any position to watch the rice fields and take pictures. The shop is decorated with more lights at night, without a roof.
“Many guests who come to eat and drink are also worried that the shop has no roof for fear of rain or sunshine, but the West is in the dry season, so if you come early in the afternoon, the shop has conical hats available for customers to wear sunshade. Coming soon the shop will be repaired. luxury, make a more proper roof,” said Ms. Binh. The most crowded time frame is 6:30 am and 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, sometimes the 30-seat table is full, customers have to buy and take away.
