Waiting for 2 hours, taking hundreds of check-in photos with the “iron bird” in Saigon

Many tourists wait for hours, taking hundreds of photos to capture the moment when the plane flies overhead at a close distance.

Referring to the phrase “aircraft flying close to the head”, everyone will immediately think of Con Dao. But recently, it has been discovered that many more check-in locations in the heart of Saigon can also see the plane from such a close angle, even when in the middle of a crowded street.

Waiting for nearly two hours to check in with the plane, the video of Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan (25 years old, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City) collected tens of thousands of “heart drops” on Tiktok. Mr. Tuan said this is a photo he took at a cafe right at the intersection of 5 Chuong Dog, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.

The road has a diverse traffic density, downstairs traffic, overpasses, and even planes, creating a diverse perspective for photos in the heart of Saigon.

According to Mr. Tuan, the feeling of waiting to save the moment an airplane “hovers” overhead is very interesting, so he “checked” the flight schedules of airlines and waited.

“Currently, the epidemic is still complicated, so the flight schedule is quite small. I have to wait for nearly two hours to take pictures of the plane. Sometimes when I hear the plane fly by but can’t take it, I regret it, and then sometimes waited forever but they didn’t fly over. Or just turned off the camera… the plane flew over again, feeling very disappointed at that time”, Mr. Tuan said.

Similarly, Mr. Luong Hung (33 years old, HCMC) a customer also visited the cafe many times in the hope of taking a “lifetime” photo with the plane.

He said, every morning hobby of Saigon people is drinking coffee, sipping tea, and chatting with friends. In particular, with cafes with a view of the plane from the top, this hobby is more interesting.

It took hours for Mr. Luong Hung to get a picture he liked with the “iron bird” (Photo: NVCC).

“I didn’t think that right in the heart of Saigon, there would be such a special and impressive check-in place. Looking up, I could see the plane passing overhead, so close that I thought it was like walking up the ladder. into the plane.

However, I had to wait for hours to take a good picture, because the traffic in this area is very noisy, it is difficult to hear the plane coming. If you don’t act quickly, you will miss this exciting moment. Normally, the plane will only fly by for about 3 seconds,” Hung said. Follow (Dan Tri)
